Dirt Rally

So, I'm a pretty big fan of sim racing and it looks like Codemasters has done a sneaky early access* release for their latest project. Dirt Rally.

Dirt 3 was a pretty important game for me because it was just plain fun. A fair amount of sim, mostly arcade, but straight up fun. The following games seemed to fall more and more into the arcade category but with this new release they are focusing on pure sim and I am very excited about that! Among many changes one very noticeable one is that they've taken away rewinds which is both awesome and sucks. It's too easy to fall on the crutch of rewinding a mistake you made so it's nice to have this removed but it also sucks to have a perfect race ruined by one very small counter steering mistake.

If you have a mind to it might be worth checking this game out.
